The No. 8 Florida State Seminoles are looking to even the season series against the No. 25 Florida Gators on Tuesday in Jacksonville, Florida. It is nearly time for the first pitch from VyStar Ballpark between the two rivals.

The Seminoles (19-4, 5-1 ACC) are coming into the game with some momentum, winning their series against NC State to put themselves atop the ACC standings. Star first baseman Myles Bailey was just named the ACC Player of the Week after hitting .500 with four home runs and 10 RBI. He was walked intentionally three times in Sunday’s win over NC State.

Florida (19-6, 3-3 SEC) is on a three-game losing streak, getting swept by Alabama last weekend. They were outscored 28-11 and got no-hit on Friday. They won the first game against FSU 6-3 in Gainesville, erasing an early FSU lead. Florida State’s hitters struckout 18 times in the game.

FSU leads the all-time series against Florida 135-130-1. The Seminoles are 13-16 in neutral-site meetings and are looking for revenge after losing the 2025 series.

Both teams will have a new starter this time around. Whited is coming off the best start of his season, he held Bethune-Cookman hitless over 3 1/3 innings with six strikeouts. The junior allowed one run on a walk and two hit-by-pitches.

Sandefer pitched 1 1/3 scoreless innings against FSU in their first meeting, working around a hit and two walks thanks to two strikeouts. This will be his second start of the season.
