St. Petersburg fatal house fire ruled arson, 18-year-old dies

ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. (WWSB) – A fatal house fire on Neptune Drive SE was intentionally set, St. Petersburg police said.

Detectives determined after further investigation that the fire at 3963 Neptune Drive SE was arson. The fire started at 3:18 a.m. Sunday, March 22.

Four people were inside the home at the time.

Englewood fire critically injures resident

Angelina Anderson, 18, died from her injuries, police said. A 35-year-old woman remains hospitalized in critical but stable condition. A teenager and a child who were also in the home were not hurt.

Detectives are asking for the public’s help. Police said anyone who saw a suspicious person or unusual activity around the time the fire started is asked to call the department at 727-893-7780. Investigators are also seeking video recordings or any other information related to the case. Tips can also be submitted by text by sending SPPD and the tip to TIP411.
