Over two dozen arrests were made and multiple vehicles were seized during an operation targeting an ATV “ride out” in Miami-Dade this past weekend, authorities said.

Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office officials said their Homeland Security Bureau, or HSB, had received information and saw social media posts that showed the organized ATV takeover, known as “GVO 2026 Ride Out,” was taking place Friday through Sunday.

On Saturday, the sheriff’s office began targeting ATV and dirt bike activity to try to prevent roadways from being taken over.

Multiple other agencies assisted, including police from Miami, Miami Gardens, Miami Beach, Miramar, Hollywood, Pembroke Pines and the Broward Sheriff’s Office.

“HSB established a command post composed of HSB Southeast Florida Fusion Center and Real-Time Operations Center personnel monitored police radio channels, available live camera feeds in areas of concern and social media activity. This intelligence was shared among all participating agencies throughout the operation to enhance public safety,” the sheriff’s office said in a statement.

The operation led to 18 felony arrests along with seven misdemeanor arrests, officials said Tuesday.

Authorities also issued 27 citations, towed 23 ATVs and dirt bikes, and recovered 3 guns, officials said.
