Police said four people were inside the home, including a 35-year-old woman and her two sons.

Her 18-year-old sister, Angelina Anderson, died from her injuries.

The 35-year-old remains hospitalized.

“Her injuries are not life-threatening. However, she does have serious burns and a long road ahead of her. She has very serious injuries,” said Yolanda Fernandez with the St. Petersburg Police Department.

Police canvassed the neighborhood on Tuesday afternoon. Detectives spoke to neighbors and asked if anyone had any surveillance video or had seen any suspicious activity.

“Check your Ring camera, check your camera. Something you might think is not important could end up being a crucial piece of the puzzle in this case for detectives. Please review the video that you have at home,” said Fernandez.

Police urge anyone with information about suspicious activity near the home at the time of the fire, or with video footage from the area, to contact the department at 727-893-7780 or text SPPD + their tip to TIP411.
