TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) – Spring break is over and it’s back to work for the Florida State football team. It’s kind of a weird set-up for the Seminoles, who had one week of practice, a week off, and now eleven more practices to go before spring ball wraps up.
There’s a lot to get accomplished in that time frame, and head coach Mike Norvell said since returning from spring break, they’ve worked more on install. He said despite having a week off, he was impressed with what he saw Tuesday.
Norvell said he’s looking for the Seminoles to crank it up a notch this week, as Saturday is their first scrimmage of spring and he’s ready to see what they can accomplish the rest of the week leading up to it.
“I want guys to refine some of the things we’ve been doing, and then Saturday, it’s your time to go play,” he said. “I want them to go out there and play smart, play fast, see the physicality that they have and just the relentlessness when they step on the field of going to get the job done. It will definitely ramp up as this week continues to unfold and try to put guys in positions where they get to show all of who they are.”
