A Collier County man was arrested in Miami Saturday after he was accused of trying to meet a 15-year-old girl for sex.According to the Miami-Dade State Attorney’s Office’s arrest affidavit, Ricardo Javier Mitchell, 62, was arrested and faces charges related to human trafficking of a child under 18, traveling to meet/lure child after using a computer, using a computer to seduce/solicit/lure child to engage in sexual conduct and promoting/attempting sexual performance by a child.Mitchell was reportedly exchanging text messages with a girl he knew was 15, and according to the report, he was accused of sending multiple explicit messages.The Miami-Dade State Attorney’s Office’s report also said Mitchell offered to pay the girl for sexually explicit videos and photos, and to give her money for college tuition and good grades in school.Mitchell is accused of offering to pick the girl up Saturday morning at an undisclosed location in Miami, the report states.He also requested she change into different clothing and bring specific adult items to a room he planned to rent. On Saturday, Mitchell arrived at the rendezvous location where he was stopped by tactical police units and Internet Crimes Against Children detectives. He was detained, and his phone was seized.The vehicle Mitchell was driving was searched, and detectives said they found a pharmacy bag with two erectile dysfunction medication bottles in his name.
