The Jacksonville Jaguars are reportedly “shopping” for help on defense at the NFL trade deadline, according to The Athletic’s Dianna Russini.
Where there is smoke, there is fire, as they say. This report from Russini is the latest that suggests that the Jaguars are not done making moves.
Ian Rapoport would also specifically report that the Jaguars are “likely” looking for help up front on defense.
Specifically at defensive tackle, some added pass rush juice could go a long way for the Jaguars. As a collective group, the Jaguars rank 24th in ESPN’s pass block win rate metric, and they are 31st in sacks.
As good as the Jaguars’ defense has been this season, more disruption up front could help take this unit to another level.
