MINNEOLA, Fla. (CBS12) — A Florida home’s front yard has become the site of a skeletal strip show, sparking a heated neighborhood debate.

ClickOrlando says the Minneola home’s display, which features cigar smoking, beer drinking, and a skeleton on a pole, has rattled some neighbors.

A reporter visited the display and met with a neighbor who said the decor is all fun.

“I have two kids, and they like to see the skeletons dancing,” said Gabreala, who lived next door. “No problem for us.”

But on the neighborhood’s social media page, the risqué display stirred a cauldron of debate over whether it’s suitable for kids walking to school.

ClickOrlando listed some of the complaints, which include one commenter saying, “I don’t see stripping as art. Whether it’s skeletons or cartoons, I wouldn’t want my kids exposed to that stuff.”

However, another commenter responded, “If you want to see it as sexual, that’s your take. Does it show the skeleton removing clothes? How do you know if it’s a female or a male skeleton?”

One resident allegedly took the complaint all the way to the Homeowners Association, only for them to reply that there’s nothing they can do about the display, and Halloween decorations are allowed.

The HOA reportedly advised that anyone offended should wait until Halloween is over, when the display is removed.
