TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) – Some roads in Tallahassee are set to be closed Friday and Saturday this week as part of the upcoming Springtime Tallahassee festivities, according to the Capitol Police.
Road closures on Friday for concert and music festival
Duval Street is expected to be closed to all northbound traffic at Madison Street starting at 5:30 a.m. Friday. Capitol Police said officers will be at Duval and St. Augustine for access to the Capitol, but are not allowed to travel north on Duval Street.
Jefferson Street is closing at Adams Street and traffic won’t be allowed to travel west on Pensacola Street. However, the far-left turn lane is expected to be open on Pensacola Street for Capitol employees. State employees will be allowed access to parking garages in the area with their employee ID.

Road closure on Saturday for 5K Run, Jubilee, and Parade
Monroe Street from Brevard Street to Gaines Street is expected to be closed completely due to the 5K run and parade.
The area around Jefferson Street, the House office building Lot 31 Exit, North Loading Zone and Service Drive entrance are being blocked for the event.
Capitol Police said officers are allowing access to travel north on Duval Street from Gaines Street to Pensacola Street or travel south on Bronough Street to Pensacola Street eastbound.
There, they will allow employees to access the House office building parking lot, the north loading zone and the service drive entrance.
Capitol employees can access the building with their ID badges.
