ORLANDO, Fla. — Kansas City Women’s Tennis performed admirably in the southern heat, taking down St. Lawrence 6-1 on Wednesday morning. The Roos not only swept doubles competition but they also had took five of six singles matches to complete the domination of the Saints.
In doubles play, Alessandra Xibilia and Maria Bylina won the first match 6-1 to get KC the point. For extra measure, Cathrine Chrobak and Amal Gati won their doubles match 6-3 while Maria Bylina and Alisa Reznik won theirs 6-4, keeping the momentum on the Roos side.Â
Singles play saw more domination from Kansas City with Gati defeating St. Lawrence’s Angelica Aksdal-Jansen in two sets 6-0, 6-4 in the No. 1 matchup. In matchups No. 2 and 3, KC found more success with Xibilia winning her match 6-2, 6-3 while Chrobak got the Roos third point thanks to a 6-0, 6-3 two-set sweep and earning the fourth team point of the day
Kansas City got additional strong outings from Luciana Braga, who went 6-3, 6-1 in her No. 4 position duel and Alisa Reznik, who won 6-4, 6-2 to clinch a 6-1 victory for the Roos in Orlando on Wednesday morning.Â
