Broward Sheriff’s deputies are hunting down a driver they say ran over a woman walking across a street and left her to die Monday. An up-to-$5,000 reward is being offered for community tips that lead to an arrest.

Sometime before 6:45 a.m., Mishell Laurine Warner, whose age was not released, was walking across West Hallandale Beach Boulevard near Barry Road, the sheriff’s office said. She was not in a designated crosswalk when a car struck her.

Authorities did not have a description of what the vehicle looked like or who was possibly behind the wheel.

Someone called 911 and deputies found her lying in the road. Miramar Fire Rescue took Warner to Memorial Regional Hospital in Hollywood, where she died.

Anyone with information on the driver or the vehicle are asked to call BSO Detective Jose Guzman at 954-321-4888 or submit a tip through the SaferWatch app.

To remain anonymous, and be eligible for the cash reward, call Broward Crime Stoppers at 954-493-8477 or dial **8477 from any cellphone in the United States. If your tip leads to an arrest in this case, you are eligible for a reward of up to $5,000.
