GRACE CUPOLA INSIDE HER HOUSE WITH HER 4 CHILDREN. THERE WERE. >> ALMOST A DOZEN GUNSHOTS. AND YOU KNOW, AT THE END OF THE VIDEO SOUNDED LIKE SQUEALING TIRES. SHE SAYS HER HUSBAND HEARD IT FROM THE BEDROOM AND THEN RAN OUTSIDE INTO THE DARK. THE ONLY THING HE SAW WAS A MAN WALKING DOWN THE ROAD AND THEN HE TURNED ON THE SIDE STREET RIGHT HERE AND HE YELLED OUT TO HIM. BUT THE MAN DIDN’T REPLY AT ALL. SO WE DON’T KNOW IF HE WAS OUT WHEN HE HEARD THE GUNSHOTS. I HAS BEEN SAID THAT THERE WAS A HOUSE DOWN THAT WAY THAT HAD ALL OF THEIR LIGHTS ON OUTSIDE. JUST WANT TO MAKE SURE THAT EVERYBODY’S SAFE IN THE NEIGHBORHOOD. WE DON’T WANT ANYTHING LIKE THIS TO HAPPEN. Several neighbors on Northwest 20th Avenue reported hearing a series of loud sounds late Sunday night and captured unsettling video of the disturbance on their security cameras.”There were almost a dozen gunshots, and then at the end of the video, it sounded like squealing tires,” said Grace Coppola, a mother of four who lives in the neighborhood. Coppola says her husband ran outside right after, and saw a man in the street.”He yelled out to him, but the man didn’t reply at all,” she said. “My husband said that there was a house down the way that had all of their lights on outside, and as soon as he came outside, they all just shut off.”Neighbors describe the street as tucked away, with no through traffic and a mix of retirees and families, making it especially alarming.
