Shannon Giblin is accused of killing Paul Bradley, then covering his body with a tarp before driving his truck to Sarasota County, where she was detained by Sarasota deputies. The incident happened in a neighborhood known as the Ranchettes, located on Gewant Boulevard.

Below is a portion of the 911 call

PUNTA GORDA, Fla. (WINK) — WINK News obtained the 911 call a disabled Charlotte County veteran made before his death. A woman was later arrested after she confessed to killing him earlier this month.

In the call, Bradley told dispatch he couldn’t get around on his own and wanted a woman out of his house.

Bradley was a disabled veteran, and neighbors say he was well-known and liked. They described him as a kind and generous man, leaving the neighborhood in shock.

“I wish he hadn’t confronted her by himself,” Bradley’s sister said.

Both family and neighbors say it’s difficult to listen to the call. Bradley’s sister said what makes this even harder is that Giblin wasn’t supposed to be a roommate at all, she was hired to care for him.

Bradley’s family is now leaning on each other as they prepare to honor his life.

They are planning a service, and his sister says the plan is to bury him in the same place his late wife was laid to rest.
