The Cape Coral Seahawks will venture away from home to challenge the Lemon Bay Manta Rays at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
On Tuesday, Cape Coral got the win against Aubrey Rogers by a conclusive 9-2. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Seahawks.

Emma Brannan spent all seven innings on the mound, and it’s clear why: she surrendered just two earned runs on six hits and racked up 12 Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn’t tossed less than eight strikeouts in nine consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, Brielle Pachick was incredible, going 3-for-4 with three runs, two RBI, and one double. That’s the most runs she has posted since back in April of 2025. Another player making a difference was Emma White, who went 1-for-3 with two runs and two RBI.
Meanwhile, Lemon Bay made easy work of Manatee on Tuesday and carried off an 11-2 victory. The win continues a trend for the Manta Rays in their matchups with the Hurricanes: they’ve now won three in a row.
Kaydence Strauser looked comfortable as she tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit.
At the plate, the team relied heavily on Cassidy Silvia, who went 3-for-5 with four runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Bella Goff, who went 2-for-5 with three RBI and one double.
Lemon Bay kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 16 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they’ve now got at least nine hits in three consecutive games.
Cape Coral’s record now sits at 8-3. As for Lemon Bay, their record is now 7-4.
Lemon Bay’s hitters will have their work cut out for them on Thursday. Cape Coral has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 11.9 strikeouts per game. It’s a different story for Lemon Bay, though, as they’ve been averaging only 3.1 strikeouts. Will Cape Coral keep running through batters, or will the Manta Rays buck the trend?
Cape Coral might still be hurting after the 15-0 defeat they got from Lemon Bay in their previous matchup back in April of 2022. Can the Seahawks avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We’ll find out soon enough.
