GADSDEN COUNTY, Fla. (WCTV) – A woman died and two teens were injured Tuesday night after a crash occurred on Interstate 10 in Gadsden County, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
The crash happened just before 8:45 p.m. on the interstate at mile marker 179 eastbound, FHP wrote in a press release.
A vehicle, driven by a Nebraska woman, was traveling eastbound on I-10 in the right travel lane at mile marker 179 and a second vehicle, driven by a Midway man, was traveling ahead of the woman on the interstate.
The front of the woman’s vehicle then collided with the back of the man’s vehicle, troopers said. As a result, FHP said the man’s vehicle traveled into the median just before colliding with the guardrail.

Moments later, the woman’s vehicle traveled onto the south shoulder just before colliding with a tree, according to the state agency.
She was pronounced dead at the scene.
Two teen passengers who were in the vehicle with the Midway man suffered minor injuries, per FHP.
The next of kin for all of those involved in the crash have been notified, according to the release.
