To the editor:
Want to stay poor? Vote Republican. They create:
•  No policy for small businesses
•  No policy for rising costs
•  No policy for homeowner’s insurance
•  No policy for healthcare
Instead, their policies:
•  Offer corporate subsidies, protections, and loopholes for the rich
•  Protect white-collar crime
•  Defund environmental preservation, which hurts our tourist industry.
•  Keep families of reproductive age from wanting to move and build a life here, where the full gamut of healthcare is NOT available for wives and mothers
•  Reduce education outcomes that do not attract corporations looking for world-class workers
Want to rise economically? Vote Democrat! They believe:
•  When everyone has equal access to education, good jobs, a living wage, and affordable housing, we all enjoy better economic opportunities.
•  Access to economic opportunity must be inclusive, regardless of race, gender, or economic circumstances
•  Economic opportunities depend on true free and fair markets, private enterprise, banking, and mortgage equality
•  Wages for equal work must be equal and independent of sex, race, or sexual orientation
•  The government works for everyone, establishing access to America’s world-class opportunities.
