Several events are planned for the next few days, from March 27-29. Here are a few that are perfect for the whole family — or friend group — to enjoy.

Pier 60 Sugar Sand Festival

What: Professional sand sculptors, who journey from all corners of the globe, work their magic to transform world-famous sugar sand into breathtaking sculptures, making for a massive 24,000 square-foot exhibit. The theme this year is “United in Sand: Celebrating Sports & Spirit!”

When: The exhibit is open March 27 through April 12 with varying hours.

Where: Near Pier 60 on Clearwater Beach

St. Pete Powerboat Grand Prix

What: An adrenaline-filled weekend with high-speed offshore powerboat and jet ski racing. The event will also feature vendors, food trucks, live music and an up-close look at the competing powerboats and personal watercraft teams. Admission is free and open to the public. VIP tickets are also available for purchase.

Where: Viewing is available along the St. Petersburg waterfront and Pier District.

Food from the Soul Festival

What: Relax with friends as you enjoy cuisine from around the world, and shop through everything from original art to handmade jewelry from various vendors.

Where: Carrollwood Cultural Center

What: This event features a massive car show, drifting with fan ride-alongs, a live concert, art installations and more.
