FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. — Online influencer Clavicular is a regular in front of a livestream camera. But on Thursday, the 20-year-old posed for the mugshot camera at the Broward County jail.
That’s because records show that Fort Lauderdale police arrested Clavicular, whose real name is Braden Eric Peters, on a misdemeanor battery charge.
Peters’ charge stems from an active warrant out of Osceola County, according to Broward Sheriff’s Office jail records. Details about the case weren’t immediately available, though officials with the Fort Lauderdale Police Department said Osceola County deputies had sought FLPD’s “assistance” finding Peters Thursday night.
FLPD officials directed further inquiries about the case to the Osceola County Sheriff’s Office.
Peters is controversially known for his promotion of “looksmaxxing,” or maximizing one’s own physical attractiveness and practices such as “bone smashing,” or tapping one’s face with a hammer as an attempt at jawline-sculpting. Outlets report that he’s also suggested using crystal meth to stay skinny.
He’s considered to be part of the online “manosphere” and is popular among young men.
Multiple outlets report that the Florida Fish and Wildlife Commission is also looking into a video in which Peters and others appear to shoot at an alligator in the Everglades.
“The FWC is aware of a video depicting individuals in the Everglades on an airboat who appear to be discharging firearms at an alligator,” the agency posted to social media platform X. “FWC officers are looking into the incident and will provide additional information when available.”
According to Florida law, “a person may not intentionally kill, injure, possess, or capture, or attempt to kill, injure, possess, or capture, an alligator or other crocodilian, or the eggs of an alligator or other crocodilian, unless authorized by rules of the commission.”
It’s not clear whether Peters will be able to bond out in Broward County on the Osceola battery charge.
