“Looksmaxxing” influencer Clavicular has been arrested in Florida amid backlash over a video that apparently shows him shooting a dead alligator in the Everglades.

The controversial streamer, whose real name is Braden Peters, was taken into custody on Thursday by officers with the Fort Lauderdale Police Department, People reported. According to online jail records, he was booked on a count of misdemeanor battery, and his bond was set at $1,000.

The charge was listed in an active warrant issued by Osceola County authorities on March 9, Local10.com reported. There were few other details available about the case, but Fort Lauderdale police officials said that Osceola County deputies on Thursday requested their “assistance” in finding 20-year-old Peters.

An internet personality with millions of followers, Peters pushes looksmaxxing, which is the practice of maximizing physical appearance through various methods, ranging from improved grooming and fitness to extreme, sometimes dangerous, techniques, like surgery.

Earlier this week, the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission announced it had launched an investigation into a livestream, during which Peters appears to repeatedly shoot an alligator. In the clip, obtained by TMZ, Clavicular can be seen riding an airboat with three other people before he opens fire on the nearby reptile.

“The FWC is aware of a video depicting individuals in the Everglades on an airboat who appear to be discharging firearms at an alligator,” the agency said on X. “FWC officers are looking into the incident and will provide additional information when available.”
