Edison National Bank/Bank of the Islands is proud to be a returning supporter of Habitat for Humanity of Lee and Hendry Counties’ Women Build 2026 initiative. The bank is a Bronze Hammer Sponsor this year and has supported the initiative since it was established in Southwest Florida in 2011.

Each year, Habitat’s Women Build brings together women and men to support safe, decent homes for female-led families in Lee and Hendry counties. The annual campaign raises funds for local home-building efforts to help women and their families, partnering with Habitat for affordable homeownership.

On March 7, several Edison National Bank/Bank of the Islands team members donated their time for the annual Women Build Day, working alongside other volunteers to paint, sweep, patch and sand a future home for a Cape Coral family seeking homeownership.

“For 16 years, our team has been proud to roll up our sleeves and help build homes for families right here in Southwest Florida,” said Robbie Roepstorff, president of Edison National Bank/Bank of the Islands. “The Women Build initiative is especially meaningful to me because it brings women together to support other women, creating safe, stable homes for families led by strong mothers. We’re building more than just a house – we’re building a future for our neighbors.”

Since 2011, Women Build in Lee and Hendry counties has partnered with 31 female-headed families to build strength and stability for their children through local fundraising and volunteer efforts. Last year, nearly 80% of Habitat’s future homeowners were female-led households.
