The darkly comic film, a period piece set in 1980, is written and directed by Tom McCarthy, known for “Stillwater,” “13 Reasons Why,” “Spotlight” and “The Station Agent.”

“Follows 20 experts who gather at a beachside resort in Florida in 1980 for a weekend conference on climate change with a simple mandate from Congress to write a statement about what to do,” according to the IMDB description for an upcoming untitled McCarthy film starring Rudd.

It’s based on the 2019 Nathaniel Rich book “Losing Earth.”

Other cast members include Tatiana Maslany, Evan Peters, Amy Ryan and Jason Clarke, according to IMDB.

Extras will be paid $200 for 12 hours of filming and $50 for a fitting, according to the casting call.

Those with an original vehicle for the time period, from 1965 to 1979 will get extra pay of $150.
