Fallen golf great Tiger Woods was hit with a DUI charge for allegedly being under the influence of drugs in yet another rollover car crash Friday – his latest time hitting the roadway rough in Florida.

The crash-prone 50-year-old — who is worth $1.5 billion, according to Forbes — allegedly was under the influence of “some type of medication or drug,” Martin County Sheriff John Budensiek said during a news conference, adding he seemed “lethargic.”

“Mr. Woods did exemplify the signs of impairment,” the sheriff said.
“At the Martin County jail, and even on scene, we really weren’t suspicious of alcohol being involving in this case, and that proved to be true at the jail. So, Mr. Woods did a Breathalyzer test, blew triple zeroes.”
Woods — who was forced to crawl out of his overturned SUV from the passenger door — was charged with driving under the influence with property damage and refusing a lawful test, both misdemeanors.
“He was cooperative, but he was not trying to incriminate himself, so he was careful in what he said and didn’t say,” the sheriff said.
The crash unfolded about 2 p.m. near Woods’ home about three miles away in Jupiter Island, where he has lived for several years – and the location of his infamous 2017 DUI arrest.

Budensiek said a pressure cleaner truck pulling a small trailer north on South Beach Road spotted Woods’ Land Rover barrelling behind at high speed, ready to overtake him on the narrow, two-lane road.
The speed limit on that road is 30 mph and there is no shoulder, police said.
The truck driver tried to pull over, only to have Woods’ SUV pass around and clip the back end of the trailer, causing it to roll over and crash, the sheriff said.

Investigators don’t know how many times Woods’ vehicle flipped, but it apparently slid for a “pretty decent space” before coming to a stop, according to the sheriff.
The golfer crawled out of his SUV’s passenger door and was greeted by responding officers, who said he showed tell-tale signs of intoxication, Budensiek said.

After officers conducted roadside tests, they took Woods to Martin County’s jail. He took a breath test but refused a urine test, Budensiek said.
“He did explain the injuries and the surgeries that he had,” Budensiek said. “We did take that into account, but they did do some in-depth roadside tests.”

Woods’ time on the operating table includes at least seven back surgeries since 2014.
His horrific car wreck in 2021 shattered bones both of his legs, leading to an emergency surgery.
In the past year, Woods underwent surgeries for a ruptured left Achilles and to replace a lumbar disc.

Woods, who was uninjured, will be in jail for at least eight hours, as required by Florida law in intoxication cases, the sheriff said.
Budensiek said Woods wasn’t given preferential treatment, but wouldn’t be put in the jail’s general population.

“He’s not going to be with other inmates that can hurt him, or try to capitalize on what he did,” he said. “He’ll pay the price, but he’s not going to pay the price by getting punished in jail.”
A second DUI conviction under Florida law carries up to nine months in jail, along with mandatory placement of an ignition interlock device for a year.
No one else was in Woods’ car at the time, nor were there any drugs or medication, the sheriff said.
The golf goofus’ crash came days after Woods returned to the links at the TGL Finals, where his new girlfriend Vanessa Trump – the ex-wife of Donald Trump Jr. – and her daughter Kai cheered him on.
