A 73-year-old Florida man died Friday night after he was struck by a car in Essex County, authorities said.
Joseph Francis Andolino, of North Palm Beach, was struck around 8:40 p.m. at the intersection of JFK Parkway and Fineran Way in Millburn Township, according to Essex County Prosecutor Theodore N. Stephens II.
Andolino was taken to Overlook Hospital in Summit, where was pronounced dead at 9:49 p.m.
The driver of the vehicle remained at the scene, Stephens said.
The death remains under investigation.
