FLORIDA — Protests are planned to take place in Florida and around the U.S. for what is being billed as the “No Kings Day of Nonviolent Action” to protest President Donald Trump’s administration policies.

Organizers are calling them peaceful demonstrations and say they are concerned about federal policies and enforcement programs, including agreements that involve local law enforcement in federal immigration actions.

The rally in Tallahassee will run from 3 p.m. – 5 p.m. on Saturday in front of the old state capitol.

The Tampa Bay region was expected to see some of the highest numbers of activity in the state, with events spread across Hillsborough, Pinellas and Pasco counties throughout the day.

In Central Florida, demonstrations were expected in several areas in Orlando and surrounding counties.

“We’re stronger together and it feels good to come out and it feels good that everybody knows that they’re not by themselves,” Sanford protester Darnell Kreuzer said. “If the people made the wrong choice the first time it’s never too late to make the right choice now.”

This is the third “No Kings” march since June 2025. Some Republicans have dismissed the protests as “Hate America Rallies.”
