Myles Bailey injured, stretchered off late in Florida State’s game against Duke

  • March 29, 2026

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) – Florida State baseball star first baseman Myles Bailey injured his right leg in the eighth inning of the Seminoles 12-11 win over Duke on Saturday.

Following an intentional walk to the sophomore, Duke pitcher Caleb Anderson threw wildly to first on a check of the runner. Bailey took off for second and the injury occured on the slide into second base. Initially, he was called safe at second, after review they reversed the call.

In front of a silent Dick Howser Stadium, Bailey’s leg was put in an air cast and he was stretched off and taken away in an ambulence.

In 26 games this season, Bailey has 13 home runs and 33 RBI. Both stats lead the team.

Head Coach Link Jarrett didn’t speak to the media following the game.

A team spokesperson said the team will release a statement later.
