The Key Biscayne Beach Club will host a one-day marine biology camp led by longtime educator Gerard Loisel.

The camp runs from 9 a.m.-1 p.m., on Friday, April 3, for children ages 8 to 14.

Loisel, who taught marine biology and oceanography at Nova Southeastern University for more than two decades and was named the College of Arts and Sciences Outstanding Teacher of the Year, brings nearly 50 years of teaching experience to the program.

Campers will explore a seagrass community, learn about potentially dangerous marine animals and take part in interactive activities such as “Name That Fish.”

Cost is $49 per child, or $39 for Beach Club members. Registration is available online at marinebiologycamp.net. For more information, call (305) 331-1489.
