There were two scenes and three people hurt, according to Broward deputies.
A man accused of stabbing a woman led Broward sheriff’s deputies on a brief chase Saturday morning — and ended with deputies finding a slashed teenage girl in his car.
At around 11:30 p.m. Friday, 911 calls came in about a domestic-related stabbing in the 4700 block of Northeast First Terrace in Deerfield Beach., deputies say.
Deputies and paramedics arrived and found a woman with stab wounds. She was taken to the hospital.
Deputies say Eric Senat, 33 who lives with the woman, stabbed her. He was not there when deputies arrived.
Around 3:30 a.m., BSO deputies in Pompano Beach found Senat’s car in the area of East Copans Road and North Dixie Highway in Pompano Beach.
When a deputy attempted a traffic stop, Senat refused to pull over. He drove a short distance before crashing into a fence, then ran. Deputies quickly caught him.
Inside the vehicle, deputies discovered a teenage girl with stab wounds. Both Senat and the teen were taken to the hospital.
The Broward Sheriff’s Office Special Victims Unit and Crime Scene Unit are investigating. Authorities have also notified the Florida Department of Children and Families.
