Three Treasure Coast record stores will participate in Record Store Day on April 18, when music lovers can add another vinyl or two to their collection.
More than 350 special releases will be available, including new releases and reissues from a variety of artists.

What is Record Store Day?
Record Store Day features special releases that can’t be found anywhere other than independent record stores participating in the international event. Those stores can’t accept any holds, can’t overprice special releases and can’t sell them online until the next day.
Record Store Day was conceived in 2007 at a gathering of independent record store owners and employees as a way to celebrate and spread the word about the unique culture surrounding nearly 1,400 independently owned record stores in the United States and thousands of similar stores internationally, according to its website.
The first Record Store Day was on April 19, 2008.
When is Record Store Day in 2026?
This year Record Store Day is on April 18 and Record Store Day Black Friday is on Nov. 27.
Who is the 2026 Record Store Day Ambassador?
Bruno Mars is the 2026 Record Store Day ambassador.
“Independent record stores are so important because you get the chance to immerse and surround yourself with music and that’s why I’m so excited to be this year’s Record Store Day ambassador,” Bruno Mars stated on recordstoreday.com. “I love collecting vinyl because nothing is better than sitting on your couch putting on a record and just listening to music like that. What is a Record Store Day ambassador?
In 2009, Jesse “Boots Electric” Hughes from Eagles of Death Metal declared himself the “Record Store Day ambassador” as a way of shouting out how important the stores were to artists, according to recordstoreday.com. Since then, various artists — Taylor Swift, Ozzy Osbourne, Iggy Pop, Jack White, Pearl Jam and more — have been ambassadors.
