For Amaya Mejia, hair has always been personal.

What began as a love for styling and design grew into Oliolly, a teen-founded hair accessories brand built on simplicity, confidence and giving back. Mejia’s lifelong love of hair, hair care and the art of creating beautiful accessories sparked the idea for Oliolly, a brand with purpose.

What began as a personal passion soon grew into a way to help others feel confident and seen. Inspired by the belief that small things can make a big difference, Mejia designed Oliolly to celebrate the beauty of natural, wavy hair.

Mejia, a Key Biscayne-based teen entrepreneur, is building a beauty brand with purpose, proving that style and social impact can go hand-in-hand. Oliolly is redefining the hair accessories space with a collection that offers minimalist design, maximum hold, and charitable giving built into every sale.

Named for the Malagasy word meaning “wavy hair,” Oliolly offers a collection of chic hair clips and accessories designed to elevate everyday beauty routines. From claw clips to combs, each accessory is crafted with care and a greater mission in mind.

With a “no glitter, no gimmicks” approach and a versatile spring palette featuring colors like Chai, Matcha, Rose Latte, Honeybun and Pink Jelly, these cellulose acetate accessories offer an eco-conscious alternative to plastic fast-fashion hair accessories.

For the past three years, Mejia has been visiting Misioneros del Camino, a home for orphaned and abandoned children in Guatemala, where she has formed deep, lasting bonds with the children. These relationships inspired her to build giving back into Oliolly’s foundation from day one.

“From the very beginning, I knew I wanted Oliolly to support Misioneros del Camino,” she explained. “Beauty doesn’t just shine brighter when it’s simple and timeless, it shines brighter when it gives back.”

True to that vision, 10% of every Oliolly purchase goes directly to Misioneros del Camino. In 2025, Oliolly donated $3,008 to Misioneros del Camino.

At Oliolly, it’s not just about how you style your hair, it’s about how you show you care. Designed for all hair types, Oliolly’s product line offers damage-free hold and effortless versatility. The collection includes:
