PUNTA GORDA, Fla. (WINK) — The Charlotte County Sheriff’s Office are conducting an active death investigation near the area of Hunter Creek within Peace River.
Deputies announced their death investigation at around 11 a.m. on Monday.
Reports say that a body was found in the water near Hunter Creek Sunday evening.
The sheriff’s office announced that since this investigation is in its early stages, no further information could be shared at this time.
