TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) – A Tallahassee man is behind bars and accused of providing a girl a place to stay in exchange for sexual favors.
Rony Yassainte is facing one count of engaging in human trafficking services with a person less than 18 years old, unlawful sexual activity with certain minors and use of a two-way communication device to facilitate a felony.

According to arrest documents, the victim had been the subject of a missing person case. When detectives located her, she told them she had been “living on the streets.”
She told detectives she exchanged sexual acts for shelter and identified Yassainte as someone who had taken her in. Text messages between the two recovered by detectives confirmed the victim had been staying with Yassainte.
One message read “If you want make me happy I will help you every week I am very good person,” according to arrest documents.
Those documents show that when detectives spoke to Yassainte, he admitted to allowing the victim to live with him, purchasing her food and having sex with her on one occasion.
Court documents show he was denied bond Monday morning.
