The FSU Seminoles just held their annual Legacy Weekend event. Of the recruits they had on campus, 2027 four-star edge Frederick Ards was one of the biggest names of them all, and Florida State improved their position with him.
They have been recruiting Ards heavily for over a year, but he’s only been on campus twice up until this point. According to 247Sports, that will change this summer as Ards has locked in an official visit with FSU on June 19.

Ards will have a busy summer when it comes to official visits. On May 29, he’ll be at Alabama. In addition to Florida State, Ards will take trips to Florida, Texas A&M, and South Carolina in June.
The 6-foot-5, 225-pounder is one of tbe top players in the 2027 class. He’s listed as the No. 77 overall recruit and the No. 11 edge in the nation per 247Sports composite rankings. Ards is the No. 9 prospect in the state of Florida as well.
