TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) – One man was arrested following a February home break-in, according to the Leon County Sheriff’s Office.
Scott Scruggs, 42, is charged with Burglary of a Structure While Armed and Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon.
Scruggs is facing charges related to a February break-in, according to LCSO.(Leon County Jail)
On February 6, Scruggs allegedly broke in to a home in the 5400 block of Touraine Drive.
Detectives found Scruggs with a gunshot wound, according to LCSO.
Detectives determined Scruggs entered the home uninvited and refused to leave after several requests from the homeowner.

LCSO said Scruggs allegedly threatened the homeowner with a weapon. The homeowner fired a single shot at Scruggs, according to LCSO.
Scruggs remained in the hospital after the incident and was taken into custody upon his release, LCSO said.
No one else in the home were injured.
Charges are pending in the investigation, according to LCSO.
