The Phillip and Patricia Frost Museum of Science turns up the energy with a night designed for curious minds who prefer their science after hours, cocktail in hand. On April 2, the Frost Museum opens its doors for nightLAB: Forces of Nature, a 21-and-over evening blending hands-on discovery with immersive experiences inspired by the powerful systems that shape our planet.

The adults-only nightLAB series, which has taken place roughly every quarter since 2024, transforms the museum into a lively, social space where guests are encouraged to explore, experiment and connect. This edition focuses on the mechanics of wind, waves, storms and motion, inviting attendees to dive into the science behind Earth’s most dramatic phenomena while enjoying specialty drinks and bites from the Space_Bar by Constellation Culinary Group.

Interactive programming and live demonstrations bring weather, ocean science and geology to life, with community partners highlighting how natural forces impact daily life. Visitors can move through select exhibitions, engaging with experiments that reveal the physics behind storms and motion.

A highlight of the evening is the Frost Planetarium presentation “Wildest Weather in Our Solar System.” Produced by National Geographic, the full-dome show explores extreme weather across the cosmos, pairing stunning visuals with cutting-edge science, a reminder that weather is a universal force, not just a terrestrial one.

nightLAB also offers a final opportunity to experience “Leonardo da Vinci – 500 Years of Genius” before it closes April 5.

nightLAB runs from 7 to 11 p.m., with parking validation available.
