Two Miami-Dade schools were placed on lockdown amid a large police response Wednesday morning.

Kinloch Park Elementary School on Northwest 1st Street and Kinloch Park Middle School on Northwest 3rd Street were both placed on lockdown.

Miami-Dade Schools Police said a call came in of someone threatening to come to a school with a gun.

The call appeared to be unfounded but prompted the lockdowns and campus search, officials said.

Aerial footage from Chopper 6 showed a large amount of officers at the schools along with a crowd of parents.

Miami-Dade County Public Schools officials said a third school, West Miami Middle, also received a hoax threat.

No other details were immediately known.
