APOPKA, Fla. — There’s some pumpkin chunkin’ going on in Apopka, and the Club Lake Venue family cannot wait to entertain you.
Club Lake Venue is hosting its annual Fall Festival. This place is as interactive as it gets. Form hoops, football tosses, tennis ball launchin’, and hayrides, children and grandparents will find something to spring them into fall fest vibes.
We found out that the Apopka attraction has repurposed old playsets from McDonald’s as part of the kids area. There’s also a zone that’s designed for toddlers, featuring pint-sized and hands-on physical activities.
Wilson Hamrick is one of the creators. He says their event boils down to tradition. “I was born and raised on this piece of property,” he said. “I’ve been gone 27 years and moved back three years ago. And I’m on the same piece of property again. It means a lot to me.”
Inside the general store is local honey and Amish baked goods. They are offering beer this year, too, as live music rocks the stage on weekends.
The family photo ops are everywhere, from wagons, hayrides, pumpkin patches, to the natural scenery. The Club Lake Venue Fall Festival in Apopka is open Thursday, Oct. 30, and Friday, Oct. 31, for Halloween. Tickets are $18.95.
