A bus driver is facing child abuse accusations stemming from an anonymous tip to the Florida Department of Children and Families.According to the police report, Roberto Rosado, a bus driver for Skytop Transportation Inc., was arrested on a charge of cruelty towards a child-abuse without great bodily harm. His arrest follows an anonymous report filed with the Florida DCF.Officers with the Port St. Lucie Police Department responded to Advanced Care Pediatrics regarding the anonymous report. According to the police report, the reporting party said a bus driver, identified as Rosado, threw a shoe and a ball at a child on two separate occasions.The police report shows Advanced Care Pediatrics (ACP), a daycare that specializes in caring for children with complex medical needs, uses Skytop Transportation Inc. to transport children from home to the daycare. The EMT told investigators the first incident happened on March 24, 2026, when she said Rosado stopped at a stop sign, picked up a ball, and threw it at a child’s face while yelling at the child.According to the police report, the EMT said she did not think much of it at the time due to the ball being soft. However, according to investigators, the woman said another incident with Rosado happened two days later.The police report shows the EMT told investigators that on March 26, 2026, a child threw his shoe on the ground. The woman said Rosado stood up and approached the child before he picked up the shoe and threw it at the child’s stomach. She said she recalled the child being fearful of the driver.Detectives gathered footage from inside the bus; however, the narrative of what is seen on the videos is redacted from the police report. According to the police report, officers interviewed Rosado, where he reportedly told them he remembered the first incident with the ball. Officials say Rosado told them he did not throw it at a kid and just threw it away from him. When asked about the second incident, Rosado reportedly told police he told the child to be quiet and threw the shoe to the side of him, not making contact with the child.According to the police report, Rosado had been working with Skytop Transportation Inc. to transport children for Advanced Care Pediatric for five years. Investigators found Rosado had no reason to approach the children regarding their behaviors and appeared to have acted out of aggression with no remorse.
