A new Notice of Commencement has been filed by Walt Disney Imagineering for Refreshment Port at EPCOT. The permit lists Icarus Exhibits as the contractor with a scope of install set elements.
The involvement of Walt Disney Imagineering indicates this refurbishment will very liekly include guest-facing changes. This is not a routine kitchen or equipment maintenance closure.
Disney has not announced what changes you can expect from this refurbishment. The location closed on January 12, 2026 with no reopening date provided.
Icarus Exhibits has worked on numerous Disney projects over the years. The company specializes in themed environments and has completed work throughout Walt Disney World.
Before closing, Refreshment Port served comfort food including chicken strips, poutine, mac and cheese, and soft-serve ice cream.
