Student achievements
• Two Pinellas County students were recently elected to membership into The Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi.
The new members are Joshua Allen of Oldsmar and Christopher Kelly of Safety Harbor.
Both members are attending the University of Florida.
Dunedin to host tax forums
The city of Dunedin will host Property Tax Education Forums Tuesday, April 14, and Wednesday, April 22, both at Dunedin City Hall starting at 6 p.m.
With potential changes to Florida’s property tax system, these public forums are intended to help residents understand how property taxes work, what they fund, and why these local revenues are essential to maintaining the community’s high quality of life.
The forums will feature a panel of speakers including city staff, and local/regional experts providing information, insights, and possible impacts from these proposed property tax changes. The forums will include opportunities for questions and answers.
