ORLANDO, Fla. – The No. 9 Louisiana Tech bowling team wrapped up its three-day Destination Orlando event in fourth place out of 24 teams with a total pinfall of 13,064.
 
The Bulldogs finished with an 8-5 record, earning ranked wins over No. 4 Youngstown State, No. 14 Mount St. Mary’s, No. 6 Arkansas State and No. 21 Valparaiso. LA Tech competed in 66 total games, averaging 197.9 pins per game.
 
On Sunday, the Bulldogs fell 1,040-986 to No. 19 Tulane in their final traditional match before heading into bracket play as the No. 3 seed. Tech was paired with Jacksonville State, Vanderbilt and Wichita State.
 
LA Tech dropped its best-of-seven match to No. 5 Wichita State, 4-2, and then fell 4-1 to No. 3 Vanderbilt in the third-place matchup, finishing fourth overall.
 
The Bulldogs totaled 6,010 pins in five Baker matches, 4,999 in six traditional matches and 2,055 in bracket play.
 
NEXT UP
The Bulldogs will be back in action next weekend as they travel to Houston to compete in the Track Kat Klash Oct. 31 – Nov. 2.
