March 23, 2026

Police completed a traffic stop at the 6000 block of Crandon Blvd for an expired tag. Officers spoke with the vehicle operator and issued a citation.

KBPD officers stopped a golf cart at Fernwood Rd. & W. Heather Dr. for running a stop sign. Officers contacted the operator and issued a citation.

Officers completed a traffic stop at the 100 block of Crandon Blvd. for a crosswalk violation. Officers spoke with the driver and issued a citation.

Units stopped a vehicle at the 4000 block of Rickenbacker Causeway for a speeding violation. Officers contacted the driver and issued a citation.

While on patrol, officers issued a parking citation to a vehicle at the 200 block of W. Mashta Dr. for blocking a driveway. The owner of the vehicle was contacted by MDSO.

KBPD officers were contacted by a Miami Dade Public Bus Operator from Crandon Blvd. & E. Heather Dr., who had found a folder containing personal documents. The owner of the folder was contacted, and the folder was handed to their mother. A property receipt was completed. KB-26-0258.

Police contacted a DoorDash employee via the telephone. He advised a customer was upset because they chose not to place a sauce in the bag. The employee explained this is the responsibility of the establishment. Upon making the delivery, the customer did not allow them to take a photo of the delivery, as required. A report was requested and completed. KB-26-0259.

KBPD units responded to a medical call at the 200 block of Crandon Blvd. KBFD transported the patient to the hospital. KB-26-0260. Officers contacted hospital staff the next day to check on the patient and learned they had passed away. Officers completed a death investigation report. MDSO Homicide was notified. KB-26-0261.

Officers completed a traffic stop at the 70 block of Crandon Blvd. for a tag violation. Officers spoke with the driver and issued a citation.

March 24, 2026

KBPD units conducted a traffic stop at the Crandon Blvd. for an equipment violation. Officers contacted the vehicle operator and issued two (2) citations.

Police completed a traffic stop at Crandon Blvd. for careless driving. Officers spoke with the driver and issued two (2) citations.

Officers completed a traffic stop at the 300 block of Glenridge Rd. for a stop sign violation. Officers contacted the vehicle operator and issued a citation.

Police stopped a vehicle at the 4000 block of Rickenbacker Causeway for a speeding violation. Officers contacted the driver and issued a citation.

KBPD officers were dispatched to the 700 block of Crandon Blvd. regarding a minor traffic crash, with no injuries. Officers contacted the parties involved and completed a traffic crash report. KB-26-0262.

While on patrol, officers completed a traffic stop at Crandon Blvd. & Harbor Dr. Officers spoke with the vehicle operator and issued a citation for not exhibiting their driver’s license.

March 25, 2026

Police stopped a vehicle at the 6000 block of Crandon Blvd. for a speeding violation. Officers contacted the driver and issued a citation.

Units were dispatched to a minor traffic accident, with no injuries, at the 600 block of Grapetree Dr. Officers contacted the involved party and completed a traffic crash report. KB-26-0264.

Officers had previously warned a vehicle for being parked on village property around the 400 block of Fernwood Rd. longer than allowed. The vehicle did not move and as a result was towed. KB-26-0265.

KBPD assisted KBFD with a medical call at the 900 block of Crandon Blvd. The patient was transported for further evaluation. KB-26-0266.

KBPD units assisted a housekeeper at the 20 block of Grand Bay Estates with gaining access into the residence they had locked themselves out of.

Police completed a traffic stop at Galen Dr. & Crandon Blvd. for an expired tag. Officers contacted the vehicle operator and issued a citation.

March 26, 2026

Officers completed a traffic stop of a golf cart at 1 Crandon Blvd. Officers contacted the vehicle operator and issued a civil citation.

Case pulled in error. KB-26-0267.

KBPD units met with the complainant, who requested an information report, at the 200 block of Crandon Blvd. The complainant told police they were contacted by Chase Bank and requested to move funds from their account. Later that evening, $20,000 had been withdrawn from their account. The complainant contacted Chase Bank, and they advised she needed a police report to reimburse her funds. A case card was provided. Police were contacted regarding a found bicycle that had been at the 400 block of Crandon Blvd. for several days. Officers impounded the bicycle. KB-26-0269.

Officers were dispatched to the 200 block of Crandon Blvd. regarding a minor traffic accident, with no injuries. Officers contacted the involved party and completed a traffic crash report. KB-26-0270.

KBPD units completed a traffic stop at the 400 block of Fernwood Rd. for a stop sign violation. Officers spoke with the vehicle operator and issued a traffic citation.

March 27, 2026

While on patrol, officers stopped a vehicle at the 100 block of Fernwood Rd. for careless driving. Officers spoke with the vehicle operator and issued two (2) citations.

The complainant contacted police from the 700 block of Crandon Blvd. regarding a lost Colombian passport. Officers completed a report and provided a case number. KB-26-0271.

Units were dispatched to a minor traffic accident, with no injuries, at the 200 block of Crandon Blvd. Officers contacted the involved party and completed a traffic crash report. KB-26-0272.

Case pulled in error. KB-26-0273.

KBPD assisted KBFD at the 400 block of Grand Bay Dr. with a juvenile who was stung by a jellyfish. The child was treated on scene. KB-26-0274.

Police were dispatched to a business alarm at the 600 block of Crandon Blvd. Officers checked the business and all appeared secure.

KBPD officers responded to the 100 block of Crandon Blvd. regarding a Baker Act. KB-26-0275.

March 28, 2026

Police were dispatched to a residential alarm at the 300 block of Beechwood Dr. Officers checked the property and all appeared secure.

Case pulled in error. KB-26-076.

While on patrol, officers issued a parking citation to a vehicle parked in a no parking zone at the 100 block of Ocean Lane Dr.

KBPD Marine Patrol responded to a boating accident with injuries at No Name Harbor (Waterway). KBPD secured the perimeter at the Crandon Marina Ramp. FWC handled the boating accident. KB-26-0277.

Units were dispatched to the police station regarding an informational report. Officers contacted the complainant, who wanted to report the alleged removal of their fence by their neighbor. A report was completed documenting their concern. A case card was issued. KB-26-0278.

KBPD officers completed a traffic stop at Crandon Blvd. & E. Heather Dr. for a stop sign violation. Officers contacted the driver and issued a citation.

Police responded to the 100 block of Harbor Dr. regarding an intoxicated female causing a disturbance. Officers contacted the complainant, who told police the female was creating a scene, and they did not want her on the property. Officers spoke with the female’s husband with the hope he could de-escalate the situation. While on the phone with the husband, the female lunged at an officer, striking his arms.

The female was secured in handcuffs and placed under arrest. While being escorted to the police vehicle, the female continued her unruly behavior and headbutted and officer in the chest area. The female was taken to TGK Jail for booking. KB-26-0279.

KBPD assisted KBFD with a fire alarm call at 10 Village Green Way. There was no fire in the center. KB-26-0280.

March 29, 2026

Police were dispatched to the 700 block of Harbor Dr. regarding a loud noise complaint. On arrival, officers did not hear any noise. Officers contacted the homeowner, who told police about the call.

KBPD officers responded to the 30 block of Crandon Blvd. regarding a Baker Act. KB-26-0281.

The complainant was walking their service dog around the 200 block of Sunrise Dr., when another dog bit her in the leg area, as their back was turned. Officers were able to see the mark of the dog bite. Officers contacted the juvenile, who was walking the other dog. Officers contacted Animal Control and 311. Both dogs were on a leash. Each party was issued a case card. KB-26-0282.

The complainant contacted police from the 300 block of Harbor Ln. regarding an incident that occurred in December of 2025. The complainant alleged damage and removal of their fence. The complainant alleges 42 feet of their fence had been removed. Village Code Enforcement is aware of the incident. A case card was provided. KB-26-0283.
