The #21 Valpo bowling team wrapped up its time at Destination Orlando on Sunday, finishing the tournament in 17th place.

How It Happened
The day opened with a single five-game baker match, which Valpo dropped to #2 Nebraska, 1060-847.
The tournament then entered bracket play with a pair of best-of-seven baker matches. The bracket first paired the Beacons against Texas Southern, with the Beacons quickly earning a 2-0 lead. Texas Southern edged Valpo by five pins in game three, but Valpo returned the favor in game four and then rolled a 211 in game five to close out a 4-1 win.
The win moved Valpo into a matchup with #RV Alabama State for 17th place. A 237 for the Beacons in game two was the lone bright spot in the first four games, as ASU got out to a 3-1 advantage. But Valpo extended the match by winning game five, and then secured the 4-3 match win with relative ease thanks to games of 205 and 225 in the final two slots.
