Tampa Bay Tech Week runs April 7 through 12, spreading across Tampa, Ybor City, Midtown, Downtown, and St. Pete, with a lineup so dense that trying to explain all of it in a single article would be irresponsible. So we’re hitting the highlights and pointing you toward the full calendar, because that’s what a responsible media outlet does when the schedule has over 40 events and includes a glow-in-the-dark run.
The week features 60-plus speakers, 20-plus exhibitors, 100-plus startups, and a projected impact of over 10,000 people. For context, that’s not a tech conference. That’s a small city temporarily devoted to the idea that Tampa Bay deserves a seat at the national innovation table. And based on what’s on the schedule, the argument is being made enthusiastically.

Wednesday, April 8 is loaded. The day opens with panels including “Fintech: Money Moving Faster Than Rules” and “Health Tech: Building the Future of Care,” both of which are topics that sound important and slightly terrifying in equal measure. By evening, the Founders & Entrepreneurs Mixer brings the innovation crowd together at Sparkman Wharf against waterfront views, followed by the signature “Innovation on the Water” kickoff, which the organizers describe as less fluorescent lighting and more sunset with people who actually build things. That’s a description of an event, not a lifestyle brand, but it works.
Thursday, April 9 leans into Tampa’s identity in the most Tampa way possible. “Cyber & Cigars: A Tribute to Tampa’s Roots and the Future of Tech” takes place at J.C. Newman Cigar Co., blending the city’s historic cigar culture with conversations about AI, cloud computing, and cybersecurity. It’s the kind of programming only Tampa could produce and pull off without it feeling forced. The evening continues with “Havana Nights: Tech Edition,” the official Day 2 after party at Sal y Mar, with Latin music, rooftop vibes, and the full energy of Tampa heritage.
Friday, April 10 crosses the bay. CTRL+Create lands at Coastal Creative in St. Petersburg, a creator-focused conference designed to give creators a real seat at the table in a growing economy, alongside a Tech Week Coffee Run and a closing celebration that wraps the week with art, music, drinks, and networking.
Passes for the week range from a free EXPO pass up to an All Access Pass at $450, which includes the Tampa Bay Tech Week Yacht Event. There’s a yacht, apparently. Tampa, everyone. This city is so good.
