A Greely father died Wednesday after saving two of his children from a rip current at Juno Beach, Florida, during a family vacation.

Ryan Jennings died on the afternoon of April 1, according to the Juno Beach Police Department.

In a Facebook post, a friend of Jennings and his wife, Emily, said the couple had recently learned they were expecting their fourth child.

People who knew Jennings described him as a “devoted father” and loving husband who always put his family first. They said the bravery he showed in saving his children reflected the kind of person he was.
