1 killed in fiery crash near Miami-Opa Locka Executive Airport

MIAMI-DADE COUNTY, Fla. — A male was killed late Friday night in a fiery crash in northwest Miami-Dade near Miami-Opa Locka Executive Airport, authorities said.

The crash occurred around 11:55 p.m. at Northwest 135th Street and Northwest 57th Avenue, according to the Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office.

Investigators said a vehicle struck a tree and caught fire.

Miami-Dade Fire Rescue crews extinguished the flames and pronounced the driver, who has not been identified, dead at the scene.

No other details about the crash were immediately released.
