Could Miami (FL) standout Akheem Mesidor be an instant impact player in Dallas? Cowboys insider Joseph Hoyt recently took some time to break down what makes Mesidor a game breaker.
Mesidor is moving on to the NFL after closing out his collegiate career at Miami. The 2025 season was one of his most productive as he finished the year with 63 total tackles, 17.5 tackles for loss, 12.5 sacks and four forced fumbles. He posted 5.5 sacks during the Hurricanes’ College Football Playoff run.
While his numbers are impressive, Mesidor comes with a few question marks. He didn’t participate in the testing portions at the NFL scouting combine or at his pro day. He’ll also be 25 years old by the time he’s drafted.
Would the Cowboys be willing to look past those question marks to add Mesidor? Check out Hoyt’s video breakdown for more. (Can’t see the video? Turn off your ad-blocker and refresh.)
