TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) – A total of 16 people have been arrested in connection with an alleged $1.7 million property damage fraud scheme, including state employees.
Officers initially arrested Tallahassee woman Briana McCarthy, who faces a litany of charges, for approving fraudulent property damage claims while she was working as a Risk Management Program Specialist for the Florida Department of Financial Services.
Following those arrests, five more arrests were made, with many being state employees. Then another set of four were arrested in connection with the scheme.
Court records show that six more people have been arrested in connection with the scheme, which brings the total to 16 people arrested.

Natalie Frison, reportedly Briana McCarthy’s mom, and also a state employee, was arrested on a slew of charges.
Her charges are aggravated white collar crime, money laundering, organized scheme to defraud over $50,000, grand theft over $100,000, conspiracy to commit grand theft, use of a two-way communication device to facilitate a felony, and cashing an item with intent to defraud, records reveal.
Tionna Alford, Brianna Anderson-Solomon, Yashenda King, Dasha Mitchell and Camilla Wilson were all charged with obtaining or endeavoring to obtain U.S. Currency of the value of $5,000 or more, but less than $10,000, the property of the State of Florida along with other charges in connection to the scheme.
Those five suspects were charged with unlawfully depositing in a bank with the intent to defraud. King was found to deposit $6,822, Anderson-Solomon $7,082, Mitchell $8,812.96, Alford $8,993 and Wilson $7,415.
Wilson was also charged with unlawful use of a two-way communication device to facilitate the commission of grand theft.
