ORLANDO, Fla. – More than a foot of rain has fallen across portions of Central Florida Sunday.
A rare flash flood emergency remains in effect for Lake county until at least 1: 45 a.m. Monday morning.
Law enforcement reported 15-18″ rain from Eustis to Mount Dora. The National Weather Service designated the flood threat as a “particularly dangerous situation.”
As of midnight, the heavy rain was tapering off in the warned area, but the flooding could linger.
A flash flood warning remains in effect until 1 a.m. Monday for northwest Orange county.
Additional flash flood warnings remain in effect for the northern half of Brevard county until 1:45 a.m.
