TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) – The 57th Annual Myers Park Easter Egg Hunt took place Saturday afternoon, drawing more than 3,000 participants, according to organizers.
Organizers say more than 30,000 eggs, filled with candy and toys, were hidden throughout the park, including special golden eggs with prizes.
Children in age groups from 0 to 2, as well as those aged 9 and 10, took part in the festivities. Organizers say they look forward to hosting the event each year to bring the community together and celebrate the Easter spirit.

Superintendent of the Special Events Division for the City of Tallahassee, Mario Palmentieri, said she was grateful for the turnout.
“It’s a great fun day, the people, we have bounce houses, we usually have crafts for people to do, some face painting some years, depends on the year,” Palmentieri said.
“We’re just thankful the community comes out and supports us on these events.”
Organizers also held a special Easter egg hunt earlier that morning for children with sensory and visual impairments, featuring beeping and adapted eggs. They say more than 100 people attended that event.
