OBITUARY
Paul Albert Collette, 93, of Fort Lauderdale, Florida, passed away on March 28, 2026, in Fort Lauderdale. Funeral services will be held at 11:30 am on April 11, 2026, at St. Jerome Catholic Church, 2533 SW 9th Avenue, Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Burial will follow at Lauderdale Memorial Park, 2001 SW 4th Avenue, Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Arrangements are by Baird Funeral Home. Paul was born in Marborough, Massachusetts, to Wilfred and Ruth Collette on September 25, 1932. He attended Central Catholic in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. He married Antoinette Collette on September 25, 1955, in Brooklyn, New York. He was a leasing manager at Lincoln Mercury for 22 years. In 1976, he became the owner of Delta Rent-A-Car and retired in 1987. In 1991, he obtained his realtor’s license and worked for Coldwell Banker. Paul was installed as President of The Kiwansis Club of West Broward Plantation in 1968 and was also an active member of his parish. Paul is preceded in death by his daughter, Dr. Kathleen G. Collette, and son, Christopher B. Collette. Paul is survived by his daughter, Laurie A. Nicholson, son, Paul A. Collette (Kim Collette), granddaughter, Michelle S. Collette and grandson, Brian R. Colette (Charisse Collette) and 5 great-grandchildren. Flowers or donations may be sent to St. Jerome Catholic Church.
